Utilizing Cornerstone Care’s mobile dental unit, licensed dentists and hygienists visit local Head Start programs, schools, businesses, and other community locations to provide dental screenings, exams, and cleanings. The goal is to educate parents and children about the importance of good oral health and get all patients into a dental home so all their oral health needs may be met.
The mobile unit continues to expand services throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania and any childcare center, head start program, school or school district interested in mobile dental services, please contact mobileunit@cornerstonecare.com Preventative dental services include a dental exam by a licensed dentist, x-rays, dental cleaning, fluoride application and sealants (as needed) performed by a licensed Public Health Dental Hygiene Practitioner.
Services are provided at no cost to school districts. Insurances are billed for children with insurance coverage. The parents of uninsured children are referred to a Cornerstone Care Health Insurance Enrollment Assister for assistance and guidance in obtaining health insurance.
