1. Building My Skills; teens’ skill development is supported by lessons focused on: 
   1. Emotion Management 
   2. Decision-Making 
   3. Problem-Solving 
   4. Goal- Setting 

2. Learning About Myself; teens’ developing sense of self is supported by lessons focused on: 
   1. Self-Understanding 
   2. Social Identity 
   3. Health and Wellness 

3. Connecting With Others; fostering teens’ social connections is supported by lessons focused on: 
   1. Relationships 
   2. Communication 
   3. Empathy 

Community TOPs Curriculum lessons are categorized into three developmental levels based on typical adolescent development, with progression in content and structure from Foundational to Intermediate to Advanced lessons.

Community Service Learning is an essential part of TOP and to Social and Emotional Learning. CSL provides great opportunities for teens to learn about themselves, others, and their communities. There are three types of CSL teens can participate in. These include: 

1. Direct: Teens work directly with or see the recipients(s) of their service 
2. Indirect: Teens do not work directly with or see the recipients(s) of their service 
3. Civic Action: Teens aim to change policies, attitudes, or knowledge around an issue impacting their community>
